Favorite Nude Lipstick - L'Oreal Colour Riche Fairest Nude

When I hear nude lips, I flash back to when I used to use concealer or foundation..
Very unpleasant.

If you're someone who has a hard time figuring out what nude lipstick to buy that wont make you look dead, washed out, or crazy, I understand your dilemma.

Nude is not one specific color.
Saying "nude" lipstick is like saying a "naked" foundation; they're supposed to look natural.
Basically, they're supposed to look like your real lips or skin, but better.

When looking for a nude lipstick, look for a color that matches your lips as closely as possible.
I recommend getting either one or two shades lighter or darker, or hopefully a perfect match.
It takes time to find a great nude color, but it's possible!

If you have the same color lips as I do, this lipstick might be for you.
L'Oreal Colour Riche - Fairest Nude
I have fair skin in winter, but my lip color stays relatively the same even when I get dark in the summer.
This is currently the only "nude" lipstick I have, because it's the only one that fits me almost perfectly.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Tinted Moisturizer - Review

As much as I love trying out foundations to see which ones give a flawless and beautiful finish,
I'm not too content with having all of those chemicals on my skin all day everyday, and I don't feel my skin needs to be covered since my complexion is fairly clear.
So, I set out to find myself something sheer and healthy for my skin.
I ended up finding a 100% organic tinted moisturizer by Physicians Formula.
Organic? Sounds good so far!

Fashion Haul - Spring Clothes & Books ♥

With all of the spring clothing coming out, it is so hard not to be excited for the next season!
I've always been a lover of fall and winter, when I get to layer and wear cozy clothing.
I'm not sure why, but since around January I've been craving spring.
The brights, the pastels, the shorts, the sandals and peep toes..
Eating outside with the sun kissing my face, smelling the warm fresh air, and just enjoying the outside.
Spring fashion has hooked me and reeled me in.

Valentine's Day Blues? Forget It, Love Yourself

Valentine's Day

It can be a happy day or a low day.
Or, it could be just another day.
I personally prefer to make it a happy day, as with every other day as well.

With people around me getting flowers, chocolates, and stuffed animals I can easily let it be a low day, and I have in the past.
However, I've grown to have a different look on this day.
Since Valentine's Day is a day to set things aside for the moment and just show love to your romantic partner, I look at it as a day to show a little love to myself.

Fitness February ~ Sunday Plans

That right there is my phone wallpaper.
I see it every time I go on my phone, and it works as my reminder for getting fit this February~

My New Year's resolution was like most people's.
"start working out"
Basically... that just didn't happen.
I sat on my bum, and "tomorrow" became my favorite word.

Something about the month of February has changed my mind.
Maybe because it is getting closer to spring, for both warm weather and showing more skin, or maybe because "fitness" and "February" sound so good put together.
Either way, I've become motivated and I'm no longer putting off working out.

Goodbye Blemishes! - Almay Clear Complexion Concealer

I'm not sure what has been going on recently, but I've been breaking out like crazy!
Ok, maybe not crazy, but way too much compared to my usual.
Some have been under the skin blemishes that take a week or even two to go away.
Others are real tiny, usually around the center of my face next to the bridge of my nose.

I use a breakout clearing face wash, which definitely helps, but by itself it just wasn't working fast enough this time.
I tried to get rid of them the old fashioned way, popping, which only damaged the skin around them.
I even tried a honey face mask. Not sure if that did anything.

I needed something different.. Something better.
I had heard about a blemish clearing concealer before, I forget where, and I thought it was a great idea.
So I did a little research and came across good reviews about the Almay Clear Complexion Concealer with BlemisHeal Technology.
I went out and got it as soon as I could.

By the way, it's snowing! It's actually a blizzard, but it wasn't as bad out when I took this picture.

Spring Cravings ☼ Fashion Trends 2013

Let's face it..
Winter is not over yet and we still have two months left until Spring.

There was snow on the ground this morning, which I love to see!
I wore my riding boots, black jeggings, a white cropped sweater, and my favorite fur vest.
The winter clothing is still being worn.
However, stores are beginning to introduce their spring collections!

Bright colors are everywhere!
Stripes are sneaking their way onto racks.
Keep your leather; it's pushed it's way into Spring too!
Short suits, my favorite, are making business look fun!
A-line dresses, black and white everything, bold designs, and bright pastels are also in.
Skin will be peeking through, whether through sheer fabric or daring cutouts.

So many fun trends, it's hard to refuse them!

Here are some great picks for shopping inspiration I found on Polyvore.

Winter Favorites! ❅ Beauty

Our skin has needs during these cold seasons.
Our hair does as well.
They also have wants..
That's where my favorite winter beauty products come in!

Let's start with..
Hair!
I have been using this conditioner since September and it has drastically decreased my frizz, by about 80%.
My hair used to be so hard to manage, and if I let it air dry you'd think I'd been struck by lightning.
Using leave-in conditioners kind of helped that, but nothing compares to this product.
I can brush my hair even when it's curly and it comes out silky smooth.
It sleeks down my hair, leaves it feeling soft and healthy, and I cannot shower without it.
Great for dry winter hair.

Winter Favorites! ❅ Jewelry

Black, gold, bronze..
Winter is my time to wear more dark colors.
Sometimes dark outfits need some pretty bold jewelry to liven them up.
My favorite winter jewelry does just that.

Let's start with..
Earrings!
I wear these earrings 99% of the time during the cold seasons.
They are pretty, simple, and chic.
I have been told that they look like little eggplants, but they are gorgeous looking little eggplants then!
They match all of my winter outfits, and therefore are my everyday earrings.
They were a gift from my Yaya, and I love them!

Winter Favorites! ❅ Shoes

I can never have enough shoes..
In the winter time, you need to keep those feet of yours warm!
Whenever my feet are cold, the rest of my body is cold as well.
So to keep warm, a good pair of shoes are necessary!

Let's start with..
Boots!
These beauties are definitely my favorite pair of shoes that I've worn this winter.
Riding boots are great for everyday wear.
They aren't too tight around my calves, they are comfortable and great to wear with thick socks to keep my feet extra warm.
The best part is, if you step in mud with these babies, it only adds character!
They are riding boots after all.
